First I noticed the 3 jelly feeders were empty and the Orioles were hopping from one to the other looking to see if someone else was getting some. They had brought their fledglings to the garden for a little something and nothing was there.
Then I noticed that the Rose Breasted Grosbeaks had their babies in my Sugar Snap Peas. Two days ago the peas were only 1/4 of an inch long. Today they are finger length except where the babies have been taught to chew.
So at 7 a.m. I had to go out in the garden and put out a 2 pound jar of jelly. I filled 2-1/2 feeders and the birds are happy again. In doing so I scared off the Grosbeaks but they will be back.Nancyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09696484913602288917noreply@blogger.com
